Special casesPartial month, pensioner, vacation, illness money, annual threshold and minimum SSC

Open only the section that applies to your situation. If none of the cases mentioned below apply, additional fields are not required.

Grace period For an incomplete month of employment

Use this section only if employment began or ended during the month and the non-taxable allowance or tax relief must be apportioned. If the employee worked for the full month, leave the number of days unchanged.

The calculator itself determines the number of calendar days in the selected month of 2026.
Leave automatic for a full month number of days. For an incomplete month, enter the days, in which there was an employment relationship.
Pensioner's non-taxable allowance applied to salary Only for pensioners

This section applies to an employed recipient of an old-age, service or special pension. If the payroll tax booklet is registered with the employer, the EUR 1,000 pensioner’s allowance is normally split: EUR 500 against the pension and EUR 500 against salary. This section does not apply to other employees.

Currently, no pensioner status has been selected.

Annual PIT estimate Only for very high annual income

Most employees do not need this section. Use it only if annual taxable income may exceed EUR 105,300 or total annual income may exceed EUR 200,000. The result is an annual tax estimate and is not deducted from monthly net pay.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about accounting services

Practical answers for companies choosing an accountant, starting a new engagement or using the FinServices calculators.

Which accounting services does FinServices provide?

FinServices provides day-to-day bookkeeping, tax returns, payroll, annual financial statements, document management, company registration support and restoration of neglected records. The exact scope is agreed after reviewing the company’s activities and document flow.

Can accounting services be provided remotely throughout Latvia?

Yes. Documents and information can be exchanged digitally, therefore daily cooperation is not limited to face-to-face work in Riga. At the beginning of cooperation, it is necessary to agree on the transfer of documents channels, responsible persons and the calendar of regular deadlines.

What to prepare before talking to an accountant?

Prepare the company’s registration details, a description of its activities, VAT status, approximate monthly document and bank-transaction volumes, employee numbers, systems used and information on any overdue filings. This helps us assess the required scope of work.

Is the payroll calculator result final?

No. The payroll calculator provides an indicative result based on the information entered. An exact calculation for a particular employee requires all applicable circumstances and supporting documents to be reviewed. An accounting service quote is prepared by a specialist after reviewing the submitted request.

What does the scope of work of accounting services depend on?

The scope depends mainly on document and bank-transaction volumes, employee numbers, VAT and other tax regimes, foreign transactions, systems used and the quality of the document workflow. Two companies with similar turnover may therefore require very different amounts of work.

How does cooperation with a new accounting client begin?

Cooperation begins with an assessment of the company’s situation and needs. We then agree on data transfer, system access, responsible contacts, document procedures and the tasks included in monthly service or a separate project.

What do special cases mean in the payroll calculator?

These are additional conditions that can affect the indicative salary calculation: a partial month, the pensioner’s allowance, holiday pay, employer-paid sick leave, bonuses, annual income thresholds and minimum VSAOI. If these conditions are not present, the basic calculation can be used without opening the block.

Can FinServices help if the company only needs one specific service?

Yes. Annual financial statements, document organisation, record restoration, payroll matters or company-registration documents can be handled as separate assignments. We agree on the scope and required information before work begins.
